You may recall from our previous newsletter that Niki Blend Theiler, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), has officially joined our team! Niki is now accepting new patients as part of our ongoing behavioral medicine program. With nearly 15 years of experience, Niki specializes in assisting with behavioral problems (ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, etc.) among children of all ages, including early development, as well as family counseling. Niki utilizes developmentally-appropriate activities to observe child behavior because they are comfortable expressing themselves in a home-like environment. Parents play an important role in Niki’s ability to effectively transform behavior because she provides goals and recommendations to help them stay involved in their child’s treatment as well as generalize skills and teach appropriate verbiage. In addition, she is uniquely trained to treat children with comorbid mental health disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
