EBOO and MAH: Two Powerful Paths to Oxygenate, Detoxify, and Rejuvenate

At The Blend Institute, we’re always seeking out the most effective and evidence-based ways to help our patients feel their best. That’s why we’re proud to offer two powerful forms of ozone therapy in our practice: EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) and MAH (Major Autohemotherapy).

Both therapies are grounded in well-established research and clinical experience. And while each serves a different purpose, both align with our commitment to researching, testing, and implementing advanced treatments that truly enhance lives.

What Is Ozone Therapy?

Ozone (O₃) is a highly active form of oxygen that stimulates the body’s own healing mechanisms. Medical ozone is not the same as atmospheric ozone—in a clinical setting, it's administered in controlled, safe doses and has been studied for decades for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and immune-modulating effects.

Ozone therapy can:

It’s a gentle yet powerful therapy that helps the body reset and restore balance.

EBOO Therapy: Deep Detoxification + Ozonation + Filtration

EBOO is the most advanced form of ozone therapy available in the world today. It allows 1.8 to 3 liters of blood to be drawn, filtered, and infused with medical ozone over the course of an hour—more than any other ozone therapy currently available.

This therapy uses a continuous loop to:

Patients often report noticeable improvements in energy, mental clarity, immune resilience, and overall well-being after just a few sessions.

EBOO may be especially helpful for those struggling with:

MAH Therapy: A Gentle and Effective Alternative

MAH (Major Autohemotherapy) is a more traditional form of ozone therapy, and while it doesn't offer the high-volume filtration of EBOO, it's still a powerful tool in promoting wellness and reducing chronic inflammation.

In MAH, a small amount of your blood (typically around 200cc) is drawn, mixed with medical ozone, and gently re-infused into your body through the same vein. The process takes about 30–45 minutes and is well tolerated by most patients.

MAH is ideal for patients who:

We often use MAH as a stepping stone to more intensive treatments like EBOO, or as part of a maintenance wellness routine.

Why We Believe In These Therapies

Our team at The Blend Institute has spent significant time reviewing the research, testing these therapies ourselves, and working closely with experts in ozone and integrative medicine. We only offer treatments we trust—and that we believe can make a meaningful impact in our patients' lives.

Ozone therapy, in both EBOO and MAH forms, reflects our philosophy: support the body’s natural ability to heal by enhancing oxygenation, reducing inflammation, and restoring cellular balance.

We’re proud to be one of the first clinics in the U.S. offering EBOO and to continue expanding options like MAH for those looking for safe, effective, and innovative care.

Interested in EBOO or MAH Therapy?

Whether you’re facing a chronic condition or simply looking to optimize your health, we’d love to talk with you about how ozone therapy might fit into your care plan. As always, our approach is personalized, thoughtful, and grounded in integrative medicine.

Let’s work together to help you feel your best—inside and out.
