IV Therapy

IV Therapy Blog Post Dr. Blend

IV therapy has been available for years in a variety of settings. IV vitamin therapy has been used for the same time frame in an office setting to treat various symptoms and illnesses. We have been performing IV therapy for over 12 years with great success.

Dr. Blend has studied the uses and indications of IV therapy with ACAM, American College for the Advancement of Medicine, through his fellowship in anti-aging and regenerative medicine and with the help of protocols developed by Drs. Shrader (AAEM) and Galby, both formidable physicians in integrative medicine. Extensive research has gone into the use of these formulations both by Dr. Blend and the organizations and physicians mentioned.

The Blend Institute uses several different types of IV protocols targeting specific problems.

The most widely used protocol which is commonly used in our office is the Myers Cocktail initially formulated by Dr. Myers for Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Our modification to the original formulation adds to its utility by increasing the amount of magnesium and vitamin C. Myers Cocktail is used in the treatment of:

Glutathione may be used for Parkinson’s disease and multiple chemical sensitivities.

High Dose Vitamin C is frequently combined as adjunct treatment in some cancer protocols.  Chronic and acute viral infections can benefit from the use of high dose IV vitamin C and IV hydrogen peroxide.

Chelation therapy used for heavy metal toxicity, peripheral vascular disease, carotid stenosis and coronary artery disease. As participants in the National Institute of Health research study TACT – Trial for the Assessment of Chelation Therapy, the use of EDTA chelation has had a major impact on many of our patients and can reduce your chances for recurrent cardiovascular events.
